Sawyer Brown
‘‘I am a lifelong Christian. I have been serving as a youth group leader since 2022. I work as a database administrator and enjoy spending my free time with my wife (also a youth leader) and our two kids. A big fan of sports, I stay active playing volleyball and softball. I brings a laid-back attitude, plenty of humor, and enjoy connecting with students—whether things get serious or stay silly. And yes, I’m convinced Shmoe Ball is part of his calling.’’
‘‘I grew up in church most of my life but didn't truly start living a life devoted to Christ until my early teen years. The youth group and church I attended in my teen years had a significant impact on my life and my decision to follow Christ. After high school, I attended a Christian university where I had the opportunity to work with inner city families and kids who were living in poverty. I have always had a liking for children and knew I wanted to work with teenagers. I started coaching sports at a local high school in 2020, pouring into students and athletes in that school district. Two years later, in 2022, my husband Sawyer and I began serving as the C.R.E.W. youth leaders.
Sawyer and I have two young children that we adore and are blessed to be raising. I have the privilege to stay home and raise the children and encourage them to seek their own relationship with Jesus. I enjoy spending my free time being outdoors and serving others. I have had the opportunity to serve locally, in other states, and overseas in Kenya and El Salvador. I love playing volleyball and I’m blessed to play grass doubles with my husband.
I pray that the youth in our area will come to know Jesus and enjoy their time as teenagers without being overwhelmed by the pressures of the world. I hope that I can be a light and positive influence on the teens I get to interact with and pour into.’’
